Chrissy Sie-Merritt's Yoga classes combine the structure of Iyengar and the focus of breath and flow of Vinyasa Yoga. Since her formal training, with Paula Tursi of Reflections Yoga, Chrissy has developed an instinctual awareness in her teaching. She creates a safe space for students of all levels to practice the physical aspect of yoga and delve deep into that sacred space within.
Each class begins with the opportunity to release common day to day stress and realign with the nature of your deep presence. Chrissy will guide you through a gentle warm up, gradually bringing you into a fluid practice by joining the poses together with your inner body rhythms. Classes end with an opportunity for your body to absorb the benefits of the practice and venture deep into relaxation. The classic form of the yoga postures, breath work and meditation are experienced as a thread between the body and mind.
Chrissy Sie-Merritt’s classes are taught from the perspective that we are all teachers on our own path of discovery, sharing a relationship of growth and awareness. Chrissy believes in sharing the yoga philosophy in a way that opens each participant to a self guided path within their physical and spiritual self. Over time her classes help you develop an intuitive practice that flows into your everyday life, guiding you back to a natural state of consciousness.
“Chrissy has such a beautiful, strong, pure energy I was immediately drawn to her. After a few words from her, I knew she was a natural healer. She possesses strong instinctual awareness and a kind and comforting personality that made me feel comfortable instantly.”
~ Jimmy Napoli, Yoga Instructor, New York
"Chrissy has an incredible capacity to meet the learner wherever he or she is. She is able to share her insights and teachings so that even the most novice explorers receive meaningful depth and healing in their experiences"
